We believe that fencing coaches must not only be superb fencers, but must also be able to create a fun-filled learning experience that fosters excellence in the sport.

Fencing Master: Rita Eder

Rita is a fencing master from Hungary. She has been a member of the Hungarian National Fencing Team, and has competed in numerous national and international competitions. She also holds a degree in Physical Education and has extensive experience working and training with junior and adult fencers alike.

Fencing Master Eder is an effective communicator and motivator as well as an accomplished fencer in her own right.

Her qualifications speak for themselves:

One of only 3 European trained Fencing Masters active in Alberta
A total of 15 years experience as a fencing master
She has taught at international schools in English, of which she has an excellent command
Ex-member of the renowned Hungarian National Fencing Team – a sport that is as important in Hungary as hockey is in Canada
Hungarian National Champion 1983 and 1985
Passed the Immigration background check
